The Tahoe has always had a powerful engine underneath. With the 2025 model, you can expect the same each year the Tahoe has upgraded. The engine options are either a 5.3L L84 EcoTec3 V8, 6.2L L87 EcoTec3 V8, or 3.0L LZO Duramax I6. The 5.3L engine can push to 355 horsepower, while the 6.2L power is 420 horsepower, and the 3.0L Diesel is 305 horsepower. All three powertrains have a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The Tahoe will have two drivetrains to choose from. These drivetrains are either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. For SUVs, rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive are always the better option over front-wheel drive. Rear-wheel drive gives more excellent wear to your tires and can even prevent blowouts. Doug DeMuro
Doug DeMuro got to check out the 2024 Corvette E-Ray and broke down what differentiates this car from its fully gas-powered siblings in his YouTube review.
“This is a totally different type of Corvette from everyone that came before,” says DeMuro.
He points out that the engine is exactly the same as the C8 Stingray with the same power train, apart from the lithium-ion battery pack in the front electric motor that drives the front wheels.
“Things can only be improved, and they are!” notes DeMuro. “The result is a total output of 655 horsepower and all-wheel drive for the first time ever on a Corvette.”
DeMuro also explains that this isn’t a plug-in hybrid vehicle.
“It’s like a Prius. You just put in fuel, and then it charges the battery pack as you drive,” states DeMuro. “It feels really fast. I already think the regular C8 is fast, but this is clearly noticeably faster than the regular C8.”
DeMuro concludes his review by noting who this new car is for and why someone would be interested in it.
“This is a new Corvette for a new age. While you may associate hybrid with boring, this certainly isn’t that,” says DeMuro. “It does present an interesting option for people who want to cruiser that can smoke hypercars at a stoplight.”

Drew Dorian with Car and Driver also reviewed the Corvette E-Ray and gave it a stunning 10/10 score! He praises it for its acceleration, all-wheel drive functionality, and stealth mode for those late-night drives home.

Sylamore Scenic Byway
This scenic drive is right here in Little Rock. It goes a little over twenty-six miles through North Central Arkansas. Ozark National Forest and Blanchard Springs Caverns are along this route as well as the Ozark Folk Center State Park where you can take in some art and music. This state park celebrates Arkansas’ culture. This is a beautiful drive that you have to check out.
